MVP Studio
Visualize, measure, extract, and deliver - one offline Windows application from raw scan to CAD-ready results.
Built for Professional Point Cloud Delivery
One Platform. The Entire Workflow.
Solve & Visualize
Process MVP S1 raw scans into colorized, level point clouds and open LAS/LAZ data from other scanners.
Measure & Verify
Measure point, distance, height, area, angle, and volume, then verify accuracy against known survey points.
Extract to CAD & GIS
Trace survey linework, build floor plans, and export coordinate-true DXF and Shapefile deliverables.
Clean & Automate
Remove transient objects, classify terrain, trace edges, and accelerate repetitive point cloud work with assisted tools.
From Raw Scan to Finished Deliverable
Raw scan in. Working point cloud out.
The built-in MVP S1 Mapper guides operators through project selection, processing configuration, monitoring, and results. It reconstructs raw sensor data into a colorized, level point cloud while preserving the georeferencing needed for later coordinate conversion.
- Fast and High Quality processing modes
- Balanced, Open Area, and Narrow scene presets
- RTK and control point support
- Multi-project queue for unattended batch processing
Measure with confidence. Prove it on paper.
Work directly on the point cloud with stable measurements even in large coordinate systems. Import known survey points for GCP-style verification, review live RMS and per-point deviations, and generate an accuracy report that documents the result.
- Point, distance, height, area, angle, and volume tools
- Meters, feet, and US survey feet
- Point capture with CSV export
- Accuracy and transformation reports
Go from point cloud to coordinate-true CAD.
Slice a section, trace the linework, and draft directly over the cloud. MVPStudio exports R12 DXF with real survey coordinates and organized layers so the drawing opens correctly in AutoCAD, Tersus 3D-Win, and established delivery workflows.
- Line, polyline, rectangle, circle, arc, dimension, and text tools
- 2D flattened or 3D elevation-aware output
- Layer-based editing with undo and redo
- ESRI Shapefile export for GIS workflows
Turn earthwork into defensible quantities.
Classify ground, create terrain surfaces, calculate cut and fill, and visualize the result with a color heatmap. Diagnostic guidance recommends grid and cell sizes, flags data gaps, and supports a client-ready volume and billing report.
- Ground classification with terrain presets
- Cut, fill, net volume, and coverage diagnostics
- DTM and DSM GeoTIFF export
- DXF contours and PDF reporting
Let the software handle the repetition while you stay in control.
MVPStudio uses transparent, local algorithms to accelerate line tracing, cleanup, floor plan review, pole extraction, and parameter selection. The software proposes and assists; the operator reviews, confirms, and can reverse every decision.
- Assisted curb, wall, marking, and edge tracing
- Ghost removal for people, vehicles, and floating noise
- Floor plan review with confidence tiers
- Offline, human-in-the-loop automation
Understand scan health before it costs you time.
Scan Doctor reviews raw capture and processed data, explains issues in plain language, and links each finding to practical field guidance. RTK-colored trajectories and a self-contained PDF report make the result easy to archive or share.
- Satellite, RTK, motion, loop closure, and sensor checks
- Plain-language findings and recommendations
- Green, yellow, and red trajectory status
- Shareable Scan Data Health Report
Built for Real Survey and Mapping Work
Survey & Mapping
Measure, verify, transform, and deliver point cloud data in the coordinate frame required by the project.
Buildings & Floor Plans
Extract wall lines, openings, room structure, sections, and CAD-ready floor plan geometry from indoor scans.
Earthwork & Construction
Classify terrain, calculate cut and fill volumes, create contours, and produce documented quantities.
Mobile Mapping
Trace curbs and structure lines, extract poles, and export standard GIS and CAD data for road and city projects.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is MVPStudio?
MVPStudio is Tersus desktop point cloud software for processing MVP S1 raw scans and turning point cloud data into measured, verified, CAD/GIS-ready deliverables.
Can MVPStudio open point clouds from other scanner brands?
Yes. MVPStudio can open LAS and LAZ point cloud files from devices of any brand. Raw scan solving is specifically built for the Tersus MVP S1 workflow.
Does MVPStudio require an internet connection?
No internet connection is required for normal processing. MVPStudio runs locally on Windows and keeps point cloud data on your own computer. Online and offline license activation options are available.
What computer is recommended?
For scan processing, Tersus recommends Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), an Intel Core i7-10700H or equivalent CPU, an NVIDIA RTX 2060 with 4 GB or better, 32 GB RAM, and an SSD with at least 64 GB free.
Which deliverable formats can MVPStudio export?
Depending on the workflow and license, MVPStudio supports point cloud, CAD, GIS, raster, survey point, and report outputs including LAS, LAZ, E57, PLY, XYZ, PTS, R12 DXF, ESRI Shapefile, GeoTIFF, CSV, and PDF reports.
How is MVPStudio licensed?
MVPStudio uses a perpetual-use license. One year of software maintenance is included for updates, version upgrades, and technical support. After maintenance expires, the licensed version remains usable, while future releases or premium features may require active maintenance or a separate license.
